About me

A glimpse into the layers of my being...

I grew up in a small village on the Swiss Riviera. The quality of life is very good and the scenery beautiful - imagine the majestic Alps watching over the waters of the Lac Léman (Lake Geneva).

My childhood sounds idyllic, but it actually was shaped by a mostly absent alcoholic father. Later in life, I realised that the hardship then made me into who I am now and I came to use that as a positive energy in life.

Oh that's me on the left hand side, with my two older brother

my Teenage years and early twenties

School wasn’t for me. At the age of 16, I left the full time academic life to start an apprenticeship in finance. My oldest brother was already working in finance and I believe that influenced me in my decision. In the middle of the biggest financial crisis in modern history I joined a financial institution. After various jobs in Switzerland, and as a believer in capitalism, I moved to London at the age of 20 to work in the Hedge Fund and Private Equity industry.

Soon understanding that the capitalist model practiced in the western world was unsustainable, I decided to move back to Switzerland and continued working in the same financial institution but as a Business Manager and Business Strategy.

my Early to mid-twenties

After a couple of years in the job; the spring in my step and the excitement was soon replaced by disenchantment. Looking for other distraction - perhaps looking for what I thought was a balance between work and the rest of my life - I decided to study and pass my Crossfit Level 1 training, then started to teach a few classes a week. I had been doing Crossfit for 3 years by then.

A crazy idea trotted in my head, why not leave it all and travel the world for a year. A trip to South Africa in December 2016 and witnessing the magnificent wildlife, convinced me to go.

my mid-twenties to the current days

By October 2017, I had left for a one year sabbatical. I spent five months exploring South America, traveling form the ‘Land of Fire’, over the peaks of the Andes, down to the mosquitoes infested corners of the Amazon, sailed across the Caribbean Sea and dreamed at the sight of an erupting volcano in Guatemala.

And another five months in Asia and it is in the Philippines where I discovered the powerful healing effects of sound, an experience which led me to Kathmandu in Nepal in order to follow a course in Sound Bowl Healing. Later on I followed a Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India.

I spent eight months in Switzerland, living more simply, practicing and teaching yoga and promoting Singing Bowls. The beauty of this small country pushed to pursue and promote my photography.

This period was very beneficial and I can see how the connections I’ve made then are the building blocks of the present. Currently I am in Central America, continuing on & deepening my path.
