I grew in Switzerland. In my mid-20s and after eight years in the financial  industry, I decided to go on a backpacking trip through South America and parts of Asia. As I travelled, I became more and more interested in eastern philosophies

Inspired by a transcendent experience with singing bowls whilst in the Philippines, I studied with a teacher in Nepal and now share the healing sound of Tibetan Singing Bowls. Later on, during my time in India, I followed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga in the town of Rishikesh and I was grateful to attend the teachings of HH Dalai Lama.

In March 2019, I took part in a Vipassana retreat and in August 2019, I went to a Metaphysics school in San Marcos, Guatemala where we practiced in the dream world as well as studied the basics of the Kabbalah. With time, my interest with the teachings related to Taoism deepened and I also became a regular user of the I Ching. This exploration led me back to the teachings of the Buddha. The path of purity is now my journey.

Tibetan Singing Bowls

“In every culture and in every medical traditions before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy"

- Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Biochemist and Nobel Prize Winner

Why use Tibetan Singing Bowls?

Healing using the power of sound and vibrations has been used for centuries in China, Japan, Tibet, India and other countries, as the ancient sages and healers had a tremendous understanding of the energetic body.

Life was considered to be a bio-electrical and vibrational energy phenomenon and so they understood the need to keep energies balanced, the meridians, the energy channels, unblocked to maintain a good health.

The body is made of some 70% of water and by using Singing Bowls the sound and vibrations runs through the entire body, providing relaxation at a profound cellular level.  We feel a deep sense of relaxation as the body is placed in a complete state of sleep, the energy channels are unblocked and the flow of energy is improved.

It is also interesting to know that sound travels at a speed of more than 1'400 m/s in water, more than 4 times faster than in the atmosphere.

A brief history of Tibetan Singing Bowls

As with most ancient healing techniques, the exact origin is unknown. It is said that they have been used for more than 3'000 years in the region of current Nepal.

The were initially used for cooking and water storage. They found that the minerals that the bowls were made of had healing purposes.

They are made of a mixture of seven metals, 70% of which is copper.

Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used for centuries by monks and lamas for meditation and relaxation.

In recent history, they have become more and more popular for therapeutic purposes.

Nowadays, it is difficult to find handmade Singing Bowls as only a handful of factories still make them that way.

Purifying the body through movement

Structure of the classes and type of practice

Initially, my journey took my India where I studied Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga under the Himalayan tradition. Through practice and receiving teachings, my practice evolved to incorporate practices from many different approaches.

The postures we will practice come from Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga as well as different Chi Kung in order to purify the physical body as well as the vital energy flowing within and without (Qi).

In the classes, we may combine movement, sitting meditation, guided relaxation as well as breathing techniques.

Where do I teach?

There are currently now classes scheduled but do not hesitate to reach out.
